We’re offering technology startups the opportunity to greatly accelerate their efforts in getting their new business/product/service/technology off the ground by participating in our three day Startup Acceleration Workshop. The workshop, which will takes place over the three days prior to the Net Prophet conference, will be facilitated by Permjot Valia (senior Seedcamp Mentor and Angel Investor), who will not only facilitate the course, but provide hands-on mentoring and business coaching.
Meet our workshop facilitator
Permjot, is the founder and CEO of Help with Sales Ltd. He has been an active business angel for several years having made over 25 investments in startups.
In 2010, Permjot was nominated by Techcrunch as one of the top start up mentors in Europe. He regularly mentors companies in the UK and Canada, both privately and on behalf of government agencies such as ACOA (Canada), NWDA (UK) and LDA (UK).
In 2007, Permjot co-founded Flight & Partners, a fund management business which buys and helps to turn around distressed businesses. Prior to launching this business, Permjot was Sales & Marketing Director of Ernst & Young, Entrepreneurial Services, London.
Permjot holds an Investment Management Certificate and is approved by the Financial Services Authority in the UK to carry out investment business. He also holds an MBA from the Open University and has an Honours degree in Economics from the University of Leeds.
What will be covered in the Workshop?
The workshop will focus on fast-tracking commercialization and productivity – assisting startups in launching a new product, service or technology. While good ideas form the foundation of innovation, it’s critical to know when and how to break into the market. That’s where the knowledge and experience of those who have personal experience in assisting with or investing in startups can make a difference to whether your ideas will reach commercial success.

How to apply
Interested startups must apply online to attend this workshop. To make sure all participants receive the full benefit and attention from our facilitator, space is limited to ten startups (two representatives from each startup). All applications will be screened to determine the most suitable candidates to attend the course. The final ten startups selected to participate will be chosen by Net Prophet.
Due to limited space, unfortunately not all applicant”s will be selected to participate.

Who should apply?
The ideal startups to apply for this course will have been running for a minimum of two years, have a maximum of 8 employees and be online/technology based in nature. The course is primarily for businesses that are already up and running – not ideas that have not yet been put into practice. That said, ideas that are well developed and ready for execution will be considered.
